When Mike died in 2007, he left a legacy of compassion. He was a youth soccer coach, and he volunteered with the United Way and Habitat for Humanity. In 2006, he helped coordinate a drive for the troops, eagerly collecting several bags full of donations. He shipped them using the Web site anysoldier.com, where troops can post requests for everything from toiletries to magazines to drink mixes.In Mike's memory, we are going to hold an annual drive for the troops. We are grateful for any donations to help defray the cost of shipping or to purchase items to send to the men and women serving our country.
